Having already done a standard case mod (windows, neons, and fans), it was time for something different. The idea of matchboxPC came when I saw relatively small motherboards being described as matchboxes. They weren't actually matchbox sized at all, and hence the idea to trick people into thinking a PC was in a matchbox was formed. The matchboxPC was constructed out of cardboard, mainly because it was cheap and easy to work with. Laser printer scaled scans of the Redhead image where glued on leaving an oversized matchbox to fill. The board I used was a WAFER-5820 233 MMX which I managed to obtain for $150, it's a great little board with everything onboard. To finish it off I added a 40mm fan and two super bright red LEDs to give it that fiery glow.
