I tried to get an incentive to people doing their own implentation, rather then using the very simple VW-functions. So if you have been deducted 2 marks for using VW-functions and want 2 more marks, you will get them when you show your lab 8 code next week (lab 10) to the labdemonstrator, proofing that you have used the VW-functions correctly. Lab 10 ====== Make sure you look also at the hint sheet for lab 10. Unfortunately, default parameters for VW-functions do not work well, so better used the "training procudure" to obtain better values. If you use VW-functions you have to find proper values that the robot drives appropriately. To grab the can use the digital I/O (OutBase) check the port number via the hardware demo programs. You have to come up with a report which you hand in at the beginning of the lab. Marking key lab 10: Report: 4/10 Finding can: 2/10 Driving and grabbing can: 2/10 Driving back to home position (with can): 2/10 Additionally: > Not handling multiple cans (finding can): -1 > getting stuck/ hand intervention (driving): -1 > bumping into walls/objects [other than grabbing] (driving/grabbing, back > to > home): -1 Thanks Thomas =========================================================================== Thomas Hanselmann Phone: +61-8-6488-1245 M018 _--_|\ Centre for Intelligent Information Processing Systems / \ School of Electrical, Electronic & Computer Eng. we are here -> *_.--._/ The University of Western Australia Fax: +61-8-6488-1168 v CRAWLEY WA 6009 Australia Email: thomash@ee.uwa.edu.au #CRICOS Provider No. 00126G# Room: EE 2.82 ===========================================================================
